Are you the next manager of Hope & Lane?

Hope and Lane is an independently owned coffee shop on a bustling High Street in the charming and historic town of Deal. We care about great coffee, looking after our customers and playing our role in the community.

We are looking for a Coffee Shop Manager to take on the day to day running of our coffee shop, for the (hands-off) owner

You will be an experienced coffee shop or café manager with a passion for coffee, enthusiastic and motivated, and able to create a positive and collaborative work environment for the team and a welcoming and quality experience for customers.

Your responsibilities include

• Manage the operations of the coffee shop

• Ordering supplies and monitoring inventory

• Hire, train and supervise our team of baristas to ensure the highest quality of service

• Organise staffing working hours, working with your team members to plan when they work

• Uphold our standards for quality and cleanliness

You will have

• Previous experience in a managerial role in a coffeeshop, café or other food and drink business

• Proven leadership skills that motivate and inspire the team

• A commitment to customer service

• Be proficient in inventory management and ordering

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations

This can be a part-time role with flexible hours (min 20 hours per week) or a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to earn a bonus.

We are looking for a barista to join the Hope and Lane team and offer flexible working hours

You will:

• Have barista experience

• Be great with customers

• Enjoy working in a vibrant and busy coffee shop on Deal’s bustling High Streer

• Have an eye for detail

• And be at least 18 years old
